Copy From: PRICE'S PATENT CANDLE COMPANY LTD. L.M/B 15326 Battersea, LONDON S.W. 11 15th March 1926 Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited. D E R B Y Dear Sirs, Your reference: ROY{Sir Henry Royce}5/MC10.3.26 We have your favour of the 10th instant and peruse, with interest, the figures obtained by your Laboratory as the result of an exmaination of Motorine C. Since you invite our comments, we would say that, whilst your figures for gravity, viscosity and flashpoint are close, your estimate of composition of fatty matter is somewhat wide of the mark. There is a proportion of Sperm Oil but not to the extent suggested by your Chemists. The fatty oil, other than Sperm, is of a non-drying nature. The constituents are both animal and vegetable. There is a total of 10% fatty matter present. Yours truly, PRICE'S PATENT CANDLE COMPANY LIMITED (sgd) J.W.Brooker. ENCLOSURE NO 106 | ||
