We have investigated this job, and apparently no notification has been given to the Works as to the fact that Marstons were delivering the new type of Cooler. Consequently, no record has been kept as to when same was actually fitted to production. It should be understood therefore, that the information we give below is only approximate. 20 made at R.R. (Dip Soldered) fitted to 1 - 20 'A' Series. 180 Marstons (Hand Soldered, Old type) fitted to 21 - 200 'A' Series. 206 Marstons (Hand Soldered, Old type). - The majority of these will have been fitted to 'B' Series, but due to rejections by our Inspection Dept., when they were finally returned by Marstons, and passed our Inspection Dept. some of them will have been fitted to 'C' Series. As regards the new type (Dip Soldered), any Cooler bearing the number 387 and onwards is of the latest type, but there is no record as to the number of the Cooler being fitted to any given chassis.
