BENSPORT - CROSS STEERING LEVERS, ETC.

In looking into the 14" brake drums we have found it necessary to modify the length of the cross steering lever, and send herewith N. scheme 357D., shewing the proposals.

It will be seen that it appears to be possible to get the cross steering tube joint clear with both 17" and 18" rims, but we may wish to take advantage of this later on to reduce the angle of the cross steering lever so as to increase the lock.

It has been often suggested that we should do away with the leather cover. This seems specially possible since we fitted centralised chassis lubrication. We should be glad of the Experimental Dept's remarks as regards the probable desirability of this move.
