similar to 5-G-11.

The rear axle spring rests are both loose on the axle tubes and are fidgeting about. It may be found necessary to fit these on a slow taper with solid keys to take the drive as the loads seem to be heavy.

We are also being troubled by stones hitting the aluminium brake covers and bending them so that they rub on the brake drums. One has had to be straightened so often that the metal has split and it cannot now resist slight blows.

We have had to trim up with L.T. contacts of the distributor as they were badly pitted a large lump having formed on the blade contact and a corresponding depression in the screw contact. The condition was much worse than 5-G-11.

The mileage covered is as follows:-

May 18th. 330 miles.
May 19th. 380 "
May 20th. 75 "
Previous mileage
since Derby 7755 "
Total to May 20th. 8540 miles.
