(3) IGNITION TEST. We shall fit a small extra switch to earth the magneto (in parallel with box) to test if the battery ignition is OK. in positions 2 or 3. This can be anywhere within reach of the driver, and of any suitable pattern, and need not be locked. R-R SWITCHBOX. The switchbox should be like this which I think you can arrange from parts in hand. (Slightly different to instructed.) 4. Magneto, no battery ignition & charge. 3. Magneto, battery ignition & charge. 2. Magneto, battery ignition & no charge. 1. O Everything off. Position 4. is required to test if the magneto ignition is OK. and to save/current in case of accumulators being low. MAGNETO. This with the smaller type of governed "Scintilla" magneto, (type A-M-6A) completes the electrical equipment until we change the starter motor. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
