Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr Robotham.

We beg to thank you for your letter of the 25 th inst and note that you will shortly be sending an order for two of a larger type of shutter operating thermostats.
We propose to design these in the same general form you are now using, and to send you a dimensioned arrangement drawing for your approval before proceeding with the manufacture of the parts.
Please note that the stroke of the bellows may be anything up to half an inch and that we recommend using the whole stroke in order to obtain greater sensitivity.
Upon thinking over the details of the design of this special thermostat we do not anticipate any trouble with the guided central member providing that its is not too close a fit.

Yours faithfully,

S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LTD.
