We have considered the cost of the alternative thread arrangements of the Filler Tube and Cap, i.e.:- (a) Filler Tube casting counterbored and with a spun brass insert sweated in position. (b) Filler tube casting with a machined thread in place of a brass insert. On comparing the cost of the two schemes, we find scheme (a) cheaper in factory cost by 4d. G/Rb.{R. Bowen} ewk. | ||
