(4). In the event of bellows failure the valve of all our motor car type thermostats moves to the open position, that is to say, the by-pass is closed off.
In some cases the whole stroke of the valve does not take place, but the valve always opens at least two-thirds of its full opening.

(5). No special provision is made for allowing air to leak past the thermostat shown on BGA.3357A when the system is being filled with water, since the cylindrical portion of the valve head cannot be a very tight fit in the housing, and air escapes satisfactorily through this clearance.

(6). In the event of your deciding to use the thermostat EB.667, we shall be very pleased to supply this in production quantities.
Before quoting would you be good enough to let us know for what quantities we should estimate.

We would naturally prefer you to use a standard thermostat if you can obtain the desired results, as we feel that we shall be giving you better value for money and could give delivery normally from stock.

We shall be very pleased to hear the results of your further tests.

Yours truly,
THE BRITISH THERMOSTAT CO. LTD.

W.Martin-Hurst.
Director.
