The oil flow was regulated by means of the pressure. The effect of discharge upon consumption is more easily appreciated by reference to some results of road tests made on both a Phantom and a Silver Ghost. These curves show how the miles per gallon decrease as the oil flow increases. It will be obser- ved that the con- sumption on this base is nearly the same for each car.
