Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of the 5th instant, regarding Tank Attachments, we beg to say that these were not supplied to us at our request, but at the request of your Mr. V.{VIENNA} Russell in order to gain experience of the same under actual working conditions, on cars.

If you wish therefore for the return of these tank attachments, we will remove them from the cars in question and return the same, terminating prematurely the tests referred to.
