The advantages of perfecting EAC.11. instead of working on new designs for EAC.1V. would be as follows :-

(1) Adopting EAC.11. would enable us to get a better car in less time.

(2) It would enable all our energy and skill to be concentrated on perfecting the EAC. engine 4-wheel brakes. We know sufficient about both at the present time to realise that considerable work is necessary. This work would still have to be done if we pushed on with EAC.1V., but in addition, we shall have troubles with the new EAC.1V parts which at present we have had no experience with.

(3) The performance and silence of the new EAC.11. will be in every way equal to the EAC.1V.

(4) The difference in chassis weight will not be more than 1% or 2%. in favour of the EAC 1V.

The dates got out for the EAC 1V. programme do not make any allowances whatever for time in perfecting the design.

We have had sufficient experience recently on brakes and engine which only confirms our past experience, that new designs all need perfecting before they could be sold to customers.
