OBJECT OF TEST: To obtain data of Hispano engine.
TESTER: A.{Mr Adams} C. Lovesey. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham.
CONDITIONS: Engine run on Test Bench.
SUMMARY OF TEST: The chief points of interest in connection with these tests are:-
(1) High efficiency of engine.
(2) Less range of ignition advance required than RAC.
(3) Position of sparking plugs reduce detonation.
(4) No definite periodic crankshaft vibration.
(5) Valve gear noisy - camshaft drive noisy - piston knocks.
(6) Carburetter control (suction type) very erratic.
