CONTINUATION No. 1.

Messrs Rolls-Royce, Ltd.

The interior spring contacts make and break the circuit once every 90 degrees, and con-sequently this circuit will have been made and broken four times during a complete turn of the Switch handle.
This ratchet in conjunction with the Switch contacts is so arranged that the switch altern-ately causes the current to flow first in one direction across the ignition contact breaker points, and then in the opposite direction when next the ignition is switched on.
This Switch is merely a refinement so that the ignition contact points will always tend to maintain a true and even face.
A wiring diagram of this is attached to foot of this letter.
We will be interested to hear from you at your convenience as to the results of your test with this Equipment.

We are,
Yours faithfully,
WB {Mr Brazier / Mr Bell} Remin Flor
Consulting Engineer,
Remy Electric Company.
