3009. To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Smth. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Smth.3/BJ.30.4.37. 32-Ex - Clutch for France. There is a doubt as to whether the outside suppliers will be able to deliver the cushion springs Ex.23084/A in time to build them into this clutch, although they are urging the dies forward to the utmost. We think, therefore, that we should cover ourselves by putting in hand a set of unhardened springs, as we have done previously. The facings have now arrived, and we have handed them to T.Fisher.
