Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3861. To. ~~Cax. from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}~~ Copy to. ~~PN.{Mr Northey}Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}~~ re Spring Steering Wheel. Referring to Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}2/KW28.9.32 I tried GBT-9 at the week-end and, as mentioned to you yesterday, I am not very keen about it so far as RR cars are concerned. It is doubtless good for absorbing the vertical road shocks but, when one is unaccustomed to it, one has a feeling of insecurity and the thinness of the steel spokes gives a feeling of cheapness. I think that, so far as our cars are concerned, we can forget it but I see no reason why we should not let a customer have it on a Continental Phantom if specially asked for. I would recommend you to have the standard wheel put back on GBT-9 and the spring wheel returned to Derby. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
