I was very pleased to receive this morning the notification you kindly sent me of the speed attained by Captain Eyston with the Streamlined Bentley on the Brooklands track and I wish to send you my hearty congratulations.

This beats the performance of the Bugatti 3.3.C. type (supercharged) by 1.785 kms.

I know positively that the Bugatti people took great pains to prepare their car for the test which took place on the 27th May and spent a lot of money building the body entirely of duraluminium.
