Re - 20/25 HP. Gearbox - Suspension at Rear-

Herewith is N.Sch.3076 shewing a proposal for carrying the engine and gearbox unit by a Ferodo lined housing at the rear as on Phantom II.

It is intended to fit into the present chassis with a minimum of alteration for experimental purposes.

The 3rd. motion shaft has the present sheet metal dust excluder removed, the oil retaining devices being made on the lines of Phantom II, and the cover is of steel instead of aluminium. Otherwise gearbox is unaltered.

The new crossmember uses the same tube and flanges as the existing 4th member, though the bending is compelled to be different.
