X5310. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}9/T20.4.32. re 20/25HP. 181st in 'T' and onwards. (Synchro Mesh) The improved performance of this type of Chassis has made it necessary to increase the engine r.p.m. from 3000 to 3500 on the Dynamometer Test. As in the case of the Phantom II the higher revs. are run on third gear as it is necessary to keep down the road wheel speed. We are therefore proposing to cut out the usual routine running of third gear as there does not appear to be any point in it. Do you agree please? | ||
