We received your telegram yesterday afternoon :-
" Please wire whether Bentley Clutch Lining woven or moulded "
" to remove uncertainty which to standarise ".

We endeavoured to ascertain what the material was without having to dismantle the Gearbox and Clutch, but found that it was not possible. We have had to dismantle the Gearbox & Clutch.

The Clutch plate and lining is a Borg & Beck supplied by them. T. Fisher says we do not fit these linings. The material is in our opinion woven and moulded, no brass wire, 10" dia. Brass rivets are used. There are no markings on the material to show what it is.
