Although we are doing all possible to get machines to produce these gears, and have been promised delivery of them by Gleason's in March next, I still feel uneasy about the delivery, as Gleason's may let us down; they have done so before, and it is possibly one of our biggest worries with our new scheme. Would you therefore, kindly, consider all the alterations we should have to make to the rear axle to carry on with our present bevels, if we are let down. I think it would be a very wise thing to prepare drawings for these alterations, we should then, at any moment, be able to put in the alterations if we found that Gleason's were letting us down. I shall therefore, be very pleased if you will look into the matter and advise me what it really means, at your convenience. [Signature] | ||
