Re- Mr. E.R. Hall

Further to our memo EWPI5/MLG.14.2.36 we have not yet received from you the letter of authority to enable Mr. Hall to enter his car for the Grand Prix A.C.F. As it is imperative that a letter of authority from the manufacturers of the car to be raced agreeing that the car be entered should be handed together with the entry fee of Fcs.1.000 before the 29th instant, you will realise that there is very little time available otherwise the entry fee is considerably increased.

When we wrote to Mr. Hall we pointed out to him this fact and he said he was going to write to you for the required letter.

Will you kindly let me know by return whether you intend to give the authority or otherwise and please do not forget to let us have engine and chassis numbers.

"Sr", to whom I spoke about this matter will perhaps be able to let us have a decisive letter if you would be good enough to mention this subject to him.

"EWP{Mr Punt}"
