R.{Sir Henry Royce} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to BJ. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X. 7060 E3/M23. 2. 28. EAC.10 VALVE GEAR. We send herewith blueprint of LeC.2514 shewing remainder of information for the above. We are suggesting that the rocker bar supports can be made in duralumin. There is a difference of expansion between the steel rocker bars and the alum. cyl. head when the engine warms up amounting to about .006" maximum on each end of the bars, but we have this effect now on EAC.14., and it appears to cause no harm.
