SPECIFICATION 1633K (2) WATER JOINT WASHER MATERIAL IN KLINGERITE INSTEAD OF DERMATINE. Origin. (1) To avoid swelling, disintergration and general deterioration of the hose over a long period of service, (text struck through: Report of Experimental Test) particularly if in contact with oil and grease. (2) To avoid swelling of washer and consequent reduction of water way area. Report of experimental test. Similar hose and washers run 20,000 miles satisfactory on 35-EX car in England and France, and will shortly have completed 10,000 miles on 6-B-IV and 3-B-IV Bentley cars.
