Engine Detonations.

We have recently had a case of excessive detonation on a Bentley chassis. This proved on investigation to be caused by the spindle in the ignition governor being .017" out of truth.

Care should be exercised when removing the cam for timing purposes, and the correct tool used. Any levering effects may be very detrimental to the alignment.
