Our Chief Designer has perused your print and is of the opinion the "Allen" patent rings can be successfully fitted to the pistons shown, and we would be very pleased if you would despatch to us a set of pistons as mentioned in your letter. We should also esteem it a favour if you could furnish us with a blue print giving the finished sizes of the pistons, as the print we have to hand is for the turning portion only, and naturally we shall require to machine the rings to the exact cylinder size. We also trust that the pistons will not be grooved, as we shall of course require to cut our own grooves in order to accommodate our rings. Should any further queries arise we will write you thereon, and can assure you in the meantime your work will have our careful attention.
