MODIFICATION TO P.100 HEADLAMPS.

With reference to Br.2/W.22.6.35., we fully appreciate the advantages from a Service point of view of changing the reflectors only, as you suggested, but we wish to point out that one of the modifications we are pressing for, consists of extra clearance between the dipping portion of the reflector and the fixed portion mounted inside the front glass.

Owing to the fact that the fixed portion of the reflector inside the front glass is involved in this change you will appreciate that it becomes necessary to return the whole lamp to Messrs.Lucas for adjustment, otherwise the reflectors could be changed over as you suggest, under expert supervision.

We are afraid therefore that there is no alternative but to send the complete lamps back to Messrs.Lucas for alteration.
