RECEIVED 3/10/11 Stamp: M.D. OCT 1911 Reference Number: X393 CJ2/D31011 Mr Royce has come to the conclusion that any car which has two full size doors on each side, such as the enclosed limousine type, is a mis-take, because one is doubling the problem of making doors which will not rattle. He has formed the conclusion that the reason why doors rattle is that there is nothing to prevent the frame-work of the body parallelogramming. Please see the enclosed sketch A, which represents the framework of the body which contains the door as it should be. B represents the framework of the door as it may become, owing to the whipping of the frame. Now Mr Royce seems to think that the bodymakers should build their This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
