Swell x200 Please follow up Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} TO RMC. c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}2/HP.6.10.36. Bentley O.H.C. Conversion Unit. -------------------------------- Trouble is being experienced with the solid copper gasket in use on this engine failing to make a satisfactory water seal. This is probably due to the disposition and number of holding down studs, but in the hope of improving running conditions on the engine being tested two gaskets have been designed, which it is thought will prove more satisfactory than the one now in use. The gaskets are as follows:- LeC.5321 - 3-ply "Corrujoint". LeC.5322 - Copper and Asbestos. Two prints of LeC.5321 are sent herewith, and two prints of LeC.5322 will follow shortly. It is suggested that the "Corrujoint" is the better proposition and should be tried first. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
