to the dimensions given on N?Sch.3069-70. The squab of the rear sest is of the usual construction, but the rear cushion is to consist of a Paxton air bag, covered with curled hair, flock and down, as suggested by HV. Its compressed thickness at the centre must no be more than 5ins. In all cases the comfort must be up to our usual standard of excellency.
FLOORS. Only the boards of the rear compartment should be supplied. These must be framed, and edged with a rubber strip as indicted in our Subframe Book. They must be held down with recessed handscrews.
A covering of sponge rubber must be put under the carpet.
TOOLS. The road tools will be carried in the front wings.
INSTRUMENT BOARD. This will be made by ourselves.
SCUTTLE ISOLATION. This must be carried out to our normal instructions, but as the body will be mounted by ourselves, we shall deal with this feature. The design of finish at the gap to be decided on later.
INTERIOR OF BODY.
All interior cabinetwork to be of solid wood. No veneer.
The door finishers should be as in the sketch herewith.
All interior hardware to be silver-plated with a matt and untarnishable finish.
The rear compartment must be lighted by two 21 C.P. lamps one in each corner of the head at the rear. The lamps should be submitted to us for approval.
Flush fitting ash-trays are to be fitted at each side of the rear compartment, and at the back of the division, and a hand mirror on the off-side only.
DELIVERY. The body completely finished together with the wings and steps as previously stated to be collected by us on Friday, May 16th, 1930.
