Cox - Advertising Manager}4/KW3.1.38. re- Richard F.Summers You will remember I spoke to you on the telephone about Mr.Summers last Friday, informing you that we had loaned him our P.III Trials Car 3-CP-10 over Christmas. I had a letter from him this morning saying that he had not yet had an opportunity of writing fully and giving us his impressions, but he does say that whilst the car was in his possession both the shock absorber control and the dynamo gave out. The car was at the Works after Mr.Summers had it as he returned it to Derby, and some work was done to it before it came to London. What do you think would be a suitable reply to give to Mr.Summers regarding the two failures he refers to ? I suppose we ought to give him some explanation of these. Presumably the car was dealt with by the Repair Dept., so I am sending a copy of this to Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy},who will no doubt let me have some information for Mr.Summers. Cx.{Major Len W.
