X.295. Extract from EFC1/T30.7.19. RE DYNAMOS. We are expecting to receive sometime soon, a dynamo from Messrs. Smiths made up on the same principle as the one they have already supplied to us, but with a better finish. Such a dynamo cuts in very much earlier than either the Lucas or the C.A.V. for a very small additional weight, and also gives a much quicker rise of current after the cutting in point, so that there is quite a considerable area between the current speed curves at low speeds, which would mean all the difference between effectively keeping the battery up, and not being able to do this. With such a dynamo we could use a larger pulley. EFC. | ||
