24th August, 1938.

Mr. P. Berthon,
E.R.A. Ltd.,
Bourne,
Lincs.

Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your order for centre-main bearings in our aluminium-tin alloy which we have sent to Messrs. Wellworthy Ltd., Lymington, Hants, as since we supplied the previous samples to you, the above firm have taken over the making of these bearings for outside firms.

We have asked them to get in touch with you as soon as possible as we note the order is urgent.

For your own information, Messrs. Wellworthy are in a position to produce the bearings as a finished job in all details and as you will possibly wish to take advantage of this, you could send them detail drawings giving dimension which you have found satisfactory by your experience on the original samples we supplied to you.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
