14. If the gear lever is inclined to stick when being moved across the gate this may be cured by putting chamfers on the lower end of the pendulum lever as shown on the attached Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}621.

15. We have on one occasion experienced a squeak from the front suspension which appeared to be due to incorrect assembly of the rubber bearing at the top of the front suspension yoke piece.

The inner sleeve of this silent bloc bearing is clamped between the two upper triangle levers by the bolt passing through the middle.

If this bolt is tightened in the full rebound position, as when jacked up, the rubber is overstressed, and forced to slip, in the bump position. The bolt should be loosened and retightened in the normal position to rectify this.

It is possible that the groans from the front of the car are hydraulic squawks from the front dampers due to valve chatter. We have a cure for this but have used all the available parts. As soon as we have some more we will send them on to you.

Why have you fitted the ¼" packing under the radiator supports? We would have thought that the correct procedure would be to cut away the side plates by the necessary amount. Is the alignment of the starting handle affected by the packings,

We do not consider that it is necessary to fit an engine oil thermometer as with the overdrive there is no risk of excessive temperatures.
