1013 DI/MS. C. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/G.14.6.38. BENTLEY 111 and 50. SPARE WHEEL CARRIER. Please receive herewith the following scheme F.CD.724 Modifications to Spare Wheel Carrier fixings. The brackets and stays supporting the spare wheel carrier tube have fractured after 8½ and 19½ hours respectively, they have therefore been stiffened up as shewn. Also two support stays are shewn added to the lower end of the carrier tube, but these should only be used if the stiffened support brackets and stays fail. Please instruct experimentally.
