Thanks for Ls4/T17.8.38. Although this does not call for any special comment from me, nevertheless I am very glad to have a report of this nature as it is very informative and at the same time encouraging.

With regard to the second paragraph on Page 2, I should be glad if EY. could tell me why we had departed from a worm gear for driving the distributor and oil pump and adopted a skew gear.

What always seems so extraordinary to me is to give up something which, as the report says, never gave us any trouble, in favour of something which may give trouble and in this case looks as if it might give more.
