The centre point lubricating scheme has now run 70 hrs. on the bump.

The only trouble we have had was a crack in the pipe from the frame to the axle 3" from the union on the axle. The crack occurred after 50 hrs. running. This portion invariably suffers when we get a broken road spring, and therefore gets an exceptionally bad time on the bump.

The second cadmium plated road spring ran 48 hrs. with 2 subsidiary leaves broken; the two top leaves are still intact. This is the best life we have had from any front road spring of this design.
