To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} 47962 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer},18/KW.15.11.34. Servo Motor for E.R. Hall's Car Chassis No. B-35-AE. The above car is going to be used for testing brake linings etc. and we therefore want it to have the best possible servo. The servo at present fitted to this chassis is of the old pattern with linings stapled on, 3 pin connection, and plain bridge bearing. Will you please make for this car a servo incorporating the following :- (1) Spring Ring Torsional Connection to GL.{G. Linnett} 713. (2) Fully floating servo linings to GL.{G. Linnett} 609. (3) Ball Bearing Bridge to N.Sch.3927. This servo should be fitted at the earliest opportunity. We shall shortly be sending through instructions for a modification to the servo cams but as this will not interfere with other parts of the servo it can be fitted independently.
