E1/G23.9.19.

Mr. Royce will send later an explanation of why the direct byepass system as shewn has been adopted on our chassis in preference to louvres and other systems of regulation.

The particular pieces you are expected to send from America are the bellows tube exhausted and compressed, and filled with a suitable liquid having a boiling temperature of 75°C. at atmospheric pressure and sealed, and having end plates of the tyope shewn on LEc.1142. together with the thin hexagon nut shewn for securing the bellows tube unit to the spider.

Would you kindly send at your earliest convenience blue prints of LEc.1142 to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town and Mr. Day in Derby.
