COMMUTATOR SOLDER OF 14° HIGHER MELTING POINT THAN STANDARD.

We hand you herewith some sticks of solder to the above description which we have obtained for the purpose of an experiment on an armature, the connections to the commutator of which are soldered with solder of 14° higher melting point than standard.

Will you please arrange to obtain an unsoldered standard 20/25 armature from production and for the connections to be soldered up with this solder. The armature should then be handed to us for comparative test with a standard armature which we have in our possession. The two armatures will be run up to the temperature at which the solder just melts and will afterwards be examined for charring. The experiment is to ascertain whether it is possible satisfactorily to use solder of this higher melting point.
