WRAITH II.
Bonnet Valance Strip.

We send herewith LeC.5202 showing the bonnet valance strip for Wraith II. This follows very closely the design for Phantom III except that we have made it possible to remove the radiator without interfering with the wings or the valance strip, and also to remove the valance strip without interfering with the wings or the radiator. We have shown the portions of the bonnet catches attached to this valance strip, and also the fixing for the bonnet lock.

We have indicated the inner wing valance which will form the subject of a separate scheme, and which serves the purpose of preventing mud from the inside of the wing from entering the engine under-pan. When this scheme is done it may be necessary to modify the shape of the lower edge of the vertical outer plate of the bonnet valance strip.

The small permanent and horizontal portion of the valance attached to the dash board and chassis frame, it is intended should be made of sheet steel, and to prevent rusting it should be cadmium plated. The other two portions of the valance strip are made of aluminium sheet.

The design has been so arranged that the attachment of the wing can be entirely by means of bolts so that no dead eyes will be used.
