To HEC. 46094 Ha/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}12/KW.23.11.34. SpectreCodename for Phantom III. Unfortunately something has gone wrong in the gearbox on this car, we think due to failure of the constant mesh gears. If the 25° obliquity gears are ready we should like to have them fitted in this box, firstly to obtain an idea of their silence and secondly because we do not think we shall have any further failures. If however they are not ready will you fit the constant mesh gears from the box recently removed from the Vulture. At the same time will you please fit either A or B of the following, but not both :- (A) (1) New steering geometry, N.Sch.4837. (2) R.R. worm and nut steering box. (B) 7" deflection rear springs. If the new larger steering wheel is ready will you please fit same. Ha/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
