Messrs. Hardy Spicer & Co.Ltd.,

Witton,
Birmingham 6.

For the attention of Mr. Daniel.

Dear Sirs,

We should like to carry out some experimental testing on one of your propellor shafts on a Phantom III chassis.

We think the quickest way of doing this would be if you would fit a new tube to the shaft which you supplied some time ago for the Bentley. The new tube will have to be shorter in length and 1/4" smaller in diameter.

We send you an arrangement drawing of the shaft at present on the Phantom III, and we are returning to you the shaft which has been running on a Bentley. We should be very grateful if you would modify this for tests on our Phantom III chassis.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
