S/W. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} H.R.C file 1220 ? Cxl/KW15.7.37. Reference Rml1/R9.7.37, it is not convenient to let you have these cars at the present time, but we are hoping shortly to replace both of them and then the matter will be easier. The difference in the oil consumption is apparently accounted for by the fact that 3-AZ-38 is driven very much harder than 3-AZ-22, and that the latter was always good from the start compared with the former. As regards clutches, they are both behaving very well, and we are therefore tempted to leave well alone, particularly as these cars are used as our present demonstration examples. The heavy oil consumption of 3-AZ-38 is of course of no consequence on ordinary demonstration work, but we should naturally like it improved before the car passes into the hands of a private owner. We will therefore arrange to let you have this car when it is taken out of commission and to be offered for sale. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Luel | ||
