"GOSHAWK II" -
FRONT ROAD SPRINGS - SEC: 7020.-
EXPERIMENTAL SPRINGS TO BE ORDERED.

Kindly order up the following Springs:-

TWO SETS OF SPRINGS, AS FOLLOWS:- (600 LBS).

Top plate to have .500" initial camber when considered by itself, instead of 1.600" as at present, the plate to be built into the spring, otherwise standard so far as deflections are concerned, that is to say, the free camber of the complete spring will be 2.650" with .150" camber under static load.
It may be that it will be found necessary to introduce another plate into this spring to enable it to carry the load, owing to the reduction of initial camber on the top plate.

TWO SETS OF SPRINGS, AS FOLLOWS:- (600 LBS).

A spring with the top plate .225" thick instead of .250", the number of the plates to be at Messrs. Woodheads or Firths discretion. The top plate in question to have 1.600" initial camber and to be built into a spring having plates of the present general thickness.

It should be noted that these springs are required to be handed to the Experimental Department on delivery.
