Instructions for modifying the Ignition Coil X.8710 for the 20 HP & E.A.C. Chassis.

RE 20 H.P. & E.A.C. CHASSIS - IGNITION COIL. X.8710.

Will you please put in hand 3 Ignition Coils suitable for the above, the actual windings being as at present standard on D.70346 but with the remaining parts made in Synthetic Moulding material. This will involve a new case being put in hand D.70935, but the remainder of the parts, washers, etc. have already been issued to you. Therefore the coil will consist of all the parts called for on D.70346 except the following:-

F.6610 - Insulating Washer.
F.6619 - Dowel Pin.
F.6690 - Rivet.
F.6673 - Bush.
F.7152 - Washer.
F.7174 - Insulating Disc.
F.7175/6 - Terminal Plates.
D.51040 - Coil Case Cover.
D.70342 - Arrgt: of Core.
D.70345 - Coil Case.
D.70347 - H.T. Terminal.
D.70873 - Insulating Washer.

but the following parts will be required:-

D.51434/5 - Flanges.
D.51436 - Contact Plate.
D.50443 - Rivet.
D.50952 - Cover.
D.50959 - High Tension Terminal.
D.50440 - Terminal Plate.
D.50460 - "
D.70935 - Coil Case.

One blueprint sent herewith of D.70935 and D.70938 - General Arrgt:

In order that this coil may be used on the 20 H.P. Chassis, Bracket - E.52042 should be fitted on the wheelcase in place of E.52855.
