9th April, 1936.

Messrs. Clayton Dewandre Co.Ltd.,
Titanic Works,
Lincoln.

For the attention of Mr. Willit.

Dear Sirs,

We have your letter of the 7th instant, including test charts No. L.616.B.1. and L.616.B.2 for which we thank you. For your information we would point out that this last Mark V radiator core which we sent you was made by Messrs. Marstons and should be a replica of the previous Mark V block tested by you - charts L.611.B/1. and L.611.B/2. We require this test as a check on the comparison between Mark V and Mark VI cores.

From this as you say, it is again evident that the Mark VI type of core, as made by Harisons or Marstons, is superior to the Mark V core.

We have despatched the core heater about which we wrote you recently to Conduitt Street, as requested.

We are very anxious to receive the oil cooler test figures which you are obtaining for us and would greatly appreciate anything you can do to expedite the matter.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
