Gyroscopic wobble and precession in relation to wheel speed and brake drums.

There is this difference, that whereas the speed of ordinary precession is reduced as the wheel speed is increased, the speed of conical precession is increased as the wheel speed is increased. A gyroscope wheel may have a quick conical oscillation superposed upon and simultaneously with an otherwise steady slow precession. (4) Is it possible that by adding the weight of the brake drum we have brought the gyroscopic wobble to the speed of the road wheel ? This does not seem impossible at first sight. EFC. | ||
