Na{Mr Nadin}/Jn. from EFC. EFC/AT12.11.17 RE X.3180.-PETROL VENTURI METER FOR TEST HOUSES. This is to confirm our conversation that our preliminary experiments with the petrol venturi meter with the .500 bore and .250 throat are satisfactory, and indicate that the meter with these dimensions will give satisfactory readings of flow of petrol to the whole engine. We now require a still smaller meter of this type which could be arranged in parallel with the present one, and could be used when desired to measure the flow of petrol to one carburetter only. We have run out the dimensions of the throat of this meter on the supposition that we make this with .375" bore with ordinary gas connections, and on this .375 supposition we find that the throat of the meter should be made .125." Will you therefore kindly instruct up, experimentally in the first instance one meter of this type with all the other dimensions reduced from this previous meter in reasonable proportions. There is no doubt whatever that such a meter, if satisfactorily made will give good results. EFC. H.R. 235A (500 T) (S.D.) 408. 28-4-17(Bm.) 2/158/13. | ||
