COMBINED MAIN SWITCH & AUXILIARY SWITCH UNIT.

In our present tentative version of specification of inspection and test of this unit, we have as one item, that it should be verified that there is not more than .004" clearance between the main switch armature and the main support when the former is fully depressed to the armature stop. I do not think we have previously informed you of this but it is necessary from the point of view of the effectiveness of the magnetic circuit, and as your drawings stand at present I think it can easily be a good deal more. Perhaps you will alter them accordingly.

We are not issuing this specification of test until we are satisfied that everything is O.K.
