Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/JH.27.3.44.

re Enclosed Limousines.

Further to our Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/JH.1.3.44. regarding the Silver Phantom Limousine and its size relative to the Wraith III and Humber Snipe, I have now discovered some particulars of the latter, given in the "Motor" dated March 8th. 1938.

The attached chart compares the enclosed limousine on

Wraith III "E" Steering.
Silver Phantom.
Humber Snipe.

The criterion of room is the dimension, bottom of steering wheel to front of rear seat.

The figures in red for Wraith III, indicate the 3.000 ins. in interior length added by Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} and Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} in order to overcome complaints of insufficient room in the extra seats.

You will notice that Wraith III as altered is approximately equal to the Humber Snipe.

Likewise Silver Phantom, to PL.3026 in which 2.000 in. of interior length has been added to the body is about equivalent to the Humber Snipe.
